Its official. Kojonup are IN the Lower South West for the 2008 season.
They are meeting the League and Club Officials mid-January to discuss New Logo and Jumpers - suitable for the LSW.
According to the Local Paper, the LSW have committed to sending League and Colts Sides to Perth for the Wesfarmers carnival. This is not what I had Heard previously , but stay tuned on that.
It looks like being a 17 Round - 14 Games / Club Season for the League, Reserves, 13's & 11's. Colts and 15's will have a 6 side comp. Boyup to field a 15's and Kojonup the Colts. Not sure how they will work out an even season, but 15 games looks likely for these grades (3 complete rounds). Somehow they will figure this out !
Extra Competition.More Competitive !! Can only auger well for young guys wanting to head to the Royals to have a Bit more witts about them!
but ...... 'Apparently' - LOCAL Footy GOSSIP. you won't see these guys until they turn 17 !! A Push from the South West Football Development is to have a Team from the South West competing in the 14 / 15 / 16 Junior Development Carnivals !! So All clubs who draw from the South West & Lower South West will have watch closely the development of players. That includes obviously the Royals, but also Peel, Swans, West Perth ( I Think ??) and now Claremont !! ... and I expect such a junior team to be very competitive !
