If they're not meeting the requirements as stipulated under their licence, then, as a club president from the other 8 clubs, I would be very concerned and demand answers. Nothing I have seen so far has convinced me that they will be able to "repay" the debt. Why it got to that level without warning bells going off earlier is not what I would call good governance on the part of the Peel board. Pride has a bad way of ensuring that "bad businesses" continue to operate when they should shut up shop and the WAFC is playing with a very dangerous fiduciary issue, if they continue to bail out Peel as they need to be seen to act fairly & equitably on behalf of all WAFL clubs who they are supposed to represent equally, not simply favour one club that has been a "pet project" of the WAFC since they allowed them into the competition. image
