What you and zmans have to accept is that given your opinion of the quality in the current squad, and the high regard you have for Micale's ability, plus 3 AFL draftees to come in, that unless the Club finishes in the top 3 in 2009 you will have some explaining to do. And, be assured, I will keep you honest to your present assessments. Should we fail to make the top 3 I will ask you why this has not happened? Is it because the players were not as good as you thought, the coach was not as good as you thought, or .. . ????.

Why is it up to you to ask Zman & Noel.......... shouldnt the question be asked directly to the club or to the coach. A great avenue is to talk to the coaching staff after games or at functions. Maybe you could get along to a few games to direct some commentary their way. Or better still how about the AGM.

Colin, having attended almost all games this year, I also have seen what potential is in the current side. Can you articulate to the readers why you rated the club finishing in 6th & 7th spot. Is it because of age, experience or skill. Have you seen something that we havent. I dont mean to harping on this one point, but many of us who are regulars at each game, were frustrated by 3 common areas( at least from what I heard around the members), you have not declared how games you have seen, this may be none, this may be all of them but common consensus is that these areas are cause for concern.

1. Lack of assertive coaching - making changes when they needed to be made, messages not getting through and finally an overall poor game plan
2. Overall skills - kicking and overall disposals were terrible
3. Depth - injuries, young players in & out of the side

Whilst we cant really change point 3, I think 1 & 2 are heavily influenced by the head coach, do you agree?

Being at games really presents a different perspective obviously this is what we see, what do you see?
