Thanks for the draft facts about Roberton, they are impressive.  It’s amazing how potential AFL players are judged by all this data nowadays and that’s the way is and will more than likely become even more detailed.  It makes you anticipate seeing these players in action sooner than later

 

I tend to side more with jocky123, though.  I’m more interested if they can get the ball; kick it to a teammate and have good decision making.  I know scouts definitely look at these as well but I guess I’m old fashioned and place most my emphasis on these traits rather than 'beep tests ...etc".

 

I remember many years ago when I used to play in the “ruck”, we had a new guy join our team.  He was like an SAS guy.  We’re were all in awe.  He was like John Rambo.  At training, he could run, he could kick, he could sneak up behind you in the dark and slit your throat.  However, when it came to game time he was hopeless, he couldn’t get a kick; however, he really looked good.

 

Ps.  I made that tall story up about playing in the “ruck”.  Being vertically challenged, I always played near the “ruck”.
